General Information
Teams applying will play in their 2008-2009 age group. All application will need to have payment with them to be considered. This alone does’nt automatically enter your team. All teams will need to gain acceptance.
*ANY TEAM THAT SIGNS UP FOR THE WRONG AGE GROUP WILL NOT BE GUARNTEED A SPOT IN THE TOURNMENT UNLESS THERE IS ROOM IN THE APPROPRIATE AGE GROUP. IF THERE IS NO ROOM IN THE PROPER AGE GROUP THE TEAM WILL NOT BE REFUNDED UNLESS THE TOURNAMENT FILLS THEIR SPOT IN THE TOURNAMENT.
Teams traveling in from out of state will be granted early acceptance
Mandatory Team Check-In on Friday, July 18th from 6:00pm-9:00pm
Teams will be accepted in either the Showcase Flight ( Top Flight) or the Cup Flight (2nd Flight), if a team is not accepted we will notify you of that and refund your fee
Teams traveling in from outside So. Cal will need travel papers, unless they are with US Club Soccer
All teams coming from outside San Diego will need to stay at one of the approved Albion Cup Hotels in order to be accepted.
All teams will be guaranteed 3 games
Coaches that have multiple teams and need help with tournament coverage need to have in writing to the tournament the teams they are coaching by application deadline in order for the tournament to assist with schedules. The Albion Cup Showcase will do its very best to accomodate all coaches conflicts, but there are no guarantees.
Awards will be given to the first and second place team members and coach. Champions will receive team trophy and champions t-shirt. Finalist will receive a team plaque.
Entry Fee: $695
Please note: Once your team has been accepted and paid their entry fee, refunds will not be given. Teams can petition for a refund via email to albionsc@san.rr.com . The Tournament Directors will consider if adequate notice was given to find another team and determine if any administrative expenses have been incurred. The Albion Cup Showcase reserves the right to apply an administrative fee should a refund be granted - $50.
